Hi readers,
I have to miss this week’s update. I apologize, as updates have been spotty for months. Between completing my assignments (all comics and illustration) at college, graduating from college, finding work, finding a new place to live, and life as an independent force continually getting in my way, I’ve been a little preoccupied. I love drawing Post-Hoc, but I keep needing to put it on the backburner. It’s driving me crazy.
I have a job with a tight deadline that I got this morning, so I have to miss tomorrow. I’ll try to get a page up this weekend, although I am moving to my new apartment. If I can update, it’ll probably be on sunday. I’ll blast about it on my twitter as well as on my art blog. So keep a weather eye out on those two, and maybe we can work something out. But please, stay tuned. I know it’s hard with updates so irregular. We’re working on it, I promise.
Updating a little bit early, because it’s done and I’m excited about it! I spent the weekend in Toronto at TCAF with friends Peter Schmidt, Lily Padula, and Kate Drwecka (who was kind enough to let us crash at her place outside the city). I keep waking up in the middle of the night from dreams of being at Beguiling and having a few grand to spare in my pocket. Never made it into Honest Ed’s, malheureusement.
In other con news, I’m saddened today to hear that BCGF is no more. It was a really amazing gathering of great artists. We’ll have to all get together and start a new Brooklyn-based indie convention then, eh?
Hope all’s well on your end of the screen. See you next week.
Whew. Okay. So I’m done with college, and with my other comic, which means I’ll get to spend more time on Post-Hoc. I can assure you all that we won’t be missing weeks anytime soon. This is a most uncertain time in my life, sticking my neck out and taking my first steps into the void, but I’ll keep at this ol’ clunker until it’s done. Thanks for hanging in there!
Woop! The Shade has a face.
YAY! It feels great seeing a new strip up. I was really starting to miss drawing the usual gang of idiots. I haven’t wasted the time away from Post-Hoc. I’ve been frantically inking a really big project, some of which you can see on my art blog. And I’ve also been writing and planning ahead for the future of Post-Hoc. So rejoice, dear readers. I’m not going anywhere. Kennings, on the other hand…
